This is the focus of The AI Agent Can Now Pay, a live demonstration at The Economic Times AI Business Transformation Masterclass and Awards 2026 on 19th November, 2026 at IIM Bangalore. For AI to handle payments, it will need more than just executing a command. It must also ensure that the payment is secure, the user's details are protected, and the transaction goes through the correct gateway. This is where AI governance becomes important. Businesses need clear rules for how AI handles payments, protects customer information, and flags suspicious transactions for human review.

The live demonstration will show how AI agents can handle UPI payments in real time. Vijeth Pandit, Chief Product Officer at Pine Labs, will take the audience through a demonstration of P3P on UPI, showing how an AI agent can complete a payment securely without a person having to carry out the transaction manually.
