The engineering and construction major reported consolidated revenue of Rs 78,750 crore for the second quarter of FY27 (Q2FY27), registering a 16% YoY growth from Rs 67,984 crore in the year-ago period.

The revenue growth was driven by accelerated progress across businesses in the Projects, Products and Manufacturing (PPM) portfolio. International revenue stood at Rs 45,870 crore during the quarter, accounting for 58% of the company's total revenue.

The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose marginally by around 0.6% YoY to Rs 6,845 crore in Q2FY27, compared with Rs 6,806 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

L&T order inflow and order book

L&T secured orders worth Rs 1,47,665 crore during Q2FY27, registering a 28% YoY growth. The company won several high-value orders across its Hydrocarbon – Offshore and Onshore, CarbonLite Solutions, Public Spaces and Airports, and Power Transmission and Distribution businesses.

International orders stood at Rs 92,375 crore, accounting for 63% of the total order inflow during the quarter.

On a half-yearly basis, the company received orders worth Rs 2,55,678 crore, marking a 22% YoY increase. The growth was supported by strong order inflows across Hydrocarbon – Offshore, Offshore Wind, Minerals and Metals, and Residential and Commercial Buildings businesses.

        Segment-wise order performance

As of September 30, 2026, the segment's order book stood at Rs 3,61,368 crore, with international orders contributing 34%.

The Energy – Green segment recorded order inflows of Rs 6,558 crore during the quarter, down 45% YoY, primarily due to deferrals in the solar business. International orders accounted for 100% of the segment's order inflow during Q2FY27.

The segment's order book stood at Rs 1,43,597 crore as of September 30, 2026, with international orders accounting for 97% of the total.

Larsen & Toubro management commentary and outlook

Commenting on the results, S N Subrahmanyan, Chairman and Managing Director of L&T, said the company delivered a strong quarterly performance despite an evolving geopolitical environment.

He said the performance reflected continued customer confidence and the company's ability to secure large and complex orders across sectors and geographies. L&T also recorded its highest-ever quarterly order inflow, while execution across its Projects, Products and Manufacturing businesses supported revenue growth.

Subrahmanyan highlighted that the company's record order book of around Rs 8.5 lakh crore provides multi-year revenue visibility.

He added that L&T's focus on executing technically demanding projects, maintaining customer satisfaction and adopting a risk-calibrated approach to bidding and execution remained central to its performance.

The company will continue to invest in innovation, digital capabilities and technology-led businesses to sustain growth and create long-term value for stakeholders.

L&T said it would continue to leverage its capabilities and operational flexibility to navigate the evolving business environment, with a focus on operational excellence and technology adoption to improve productivity and competitiveness.

Ahead of its Q2 results announcement, L&T shares settled 0.40% lower at Rs 3,665.10 apiece on the NSE on Tuesday, compared with the previous close of Rs 3,680.
